Local hairdressing talent Gemma Miles, owner of Hair by Phillip, has achieved national recognition after winning Silver at the prestigious Goldwell Global Creative Awards in the Creative Colour Competition.
Gemma, a highly respected Goldwell educator and salon owner, faced fierce competition from top UK stylists for the coveted award. This isn't Gemma's first foray into competitive hairdressing; she boasts an impressive record, including a 7th place finish at the World Hairdressing Championships in Paris last year.
Her dedication to her craft shone through. Gemma spent countless hours outside of salon hours, perfecting her entry with a professional model and photographer. This hard work paid off, securing her the prestigious Silver medal.
"I'm incredibly proud of what I achieved at the Global Creative Awards," Gemma beams. "The competition was fierce, but it was an honour to represent Hair by Phillip and work alongside such talented stylists. Bringing home a Silver medal is simply incredible."
While Gemma admits a tinge of disappointment at not taking home the Gold, she's thrilled with her achievement. "Being the second best Creative Colourist is a huge accomplishment," she says. "I can't wait to bring this knowledge and expertise back to the salon and share it with my clients."
